Emerging Technologies Sweden is led by Founder & CEO Veronica Chiaravalli.

She serves as CRO — Chief Human–Autonomy Systems Officer, pioneering the integration of robotics, AI, and autonomous systems with human teams across frontier environments.

Her work focuses on designing the operational, psychological, and strategic architectures required for resilient human–autonomy collaboration in New Space, extreme environments, and emerging civilizational systems.

Emerging Technologies Sweden was founded in 2015 with a symbol that reflects its long-term civilizational vision.

The logo features Pegasus — the winged horse — representing power, speed, and innovation: the momentum required to move beyond legacy systems and build what does not yet exist. The white Pegasus also symbolizes renewal — rebirth, clarity, and light — a signal of new beginnings in an era defined by autonomy and frontier expansion.

The circular ring enclosing the mark represents continuity and integration — the closed-loop relationship between humans and the intelligent systems we create.

For us, Pegasus symbolizes:

THE STORY

Emerging Technologies Sweden was not built from theory. It was built from systemic observation.

Years before autonomy and AI entered mainstream conversation, Veronica Chiaravalli identified structural gaps in how talent, opportunity, and emerging technologies intersected. Highly capable individuals — particularly women and younger generations — were being filtered out by rigid systems, outdated credential structures, and automated gatekeeping mechanisms.

Rather than waiting for institutional reform, she built her own path.

What began as an effort to address the gender and knowledge gap evolved into a broader realization: technological acceleration without human-system redesign creates fragmentation.

The deeper problem was not representation alone.
It was integration.

As autonomy scales, as AI reshapes cognitive labor, and as frontier industries like New Space expand, the need for new operating models becomes critical.

In 2018, this translated into a registered innovation framework focused on addressing structural gender and knowledge disparities in emerging technology ecosystems.

In 2018, we formalized an innovation framework addressing structural knowledge and gender disparities within emerging technology ecosystems. While funding and institutional support were limited at the time, the core thesis proved enduring:

Over the years, the work evolved from advocacy into architecture — focusing on how humans and autonomous systems integrate across extreme, distributed, and frontier environments.

The focus shifted from awareness to implementation:
Designing responsible, resilient human–autonomy systems before and during deployment.

HUMAN-ROBOT-INTERACTION (HRI)

Completed structured academic study in Human–Robot Interaction through the University of Canterbury (HIT Lab NZ). The course is hosted by the University of Canterbury and delivered online via edX as part of its official short-course program.

The program covered:

• Trust calibration in human–robot systems
• Anthropomorphism and perception dynamics
• Interaction modalities (verbal, non-verbal, spatial)
• Cognitive modeling and evaluation methodologies
• Deployment considerations in assistive, healthcare, and operational environments

This academic foundation informs my work in human–robot operational integration, convergent systems leadership, and immersive frontier training environments.
